College Station 2020 Economic Development Master Plan

The College Station 2020 Economic Development Master Plan is a strategic framework for guiding the City’s economic-development activities. It establishes priorities, recommended actions, and performance measures for attracting investment, supporting existing businesses, and strengthening the local economy. The plan was intended to help College Station:

• diversify its economy;

• reduce reliance on education, government, and traditional services;

• attract and retain higher-wage employment;

• support entrepreneurship and innovation;

• strengthen relationships with Texas A&M University and regional institutions;

• improve the business environment; and

• coordinate city economic-development efforts with private, institutional, and regional partners.
